How was your Yom Kippur?
Do you feel like you achieved some level of Kapara (atonement) and Tahara (purity)?
What are you doing to make the effects last?
How are you preparing spiritually and mentally to increase your joy on Succos?

Maybe we can make Yom Kippur last by continuing to study the laws of Yom Kippur from Mishnah Berurah.
How was your Yom Kippur? GREAT. THE BAALEI TEFILLAH IN MY MINYAN WERE AMAZING.
Do you feel like you achieved some level of Kapara (atonement) and Tahara (purity)? WELL, I’M STILL HERE.
What are you doing to make the effects last? I’VE FOUND A PROGRAM CALLED http://www.joesgoals.com to be very helpful from Elul until today. I can track my progress in areas that I’m working on.
How are you preparing spiritually and mentally to increase your joy on Succos? READING “SFAS EMES ON THE THREE FESTIVALS” (Artscroll) and understanding that the Sukkah represents both Emunah (believing in Hashem and that He ahs a relationship with me) and Bitachon (accepting that everything that happens to me comes from Hashem).
I think that working on Emunah and Bitachon brings one to a sense of Simcha, which is what Sukkos is all about.
Next up is procrastination.
From the lack of comments, it’s clear that most of the Beyond BT community successfully worked on the character trait of humility.
I was praying for help in improving my patience. Usually, right after the fast, I’m as impatient as I can be. This time, I was actually OK! G-d willing, this signifies a trend.
As part of my future efforts in this area, I also plan, b’li neder, to check my comments more carefully for spelling before submitting them. What a concept!
