Jewish Impact Films

We’ve been conversing recently here about topics such as the Internet and Women’s Issues. So we thought we’d share this link to Jewish Impact Films, whose mission is to empower the next generation of young Jewish thinkers to use creative media, specifically short internet-based films, to effectively communicate new messaging about Judaism and Israel.

It looks like the Judaism they are communicating is Torah Observance and some of their material has been featured on Aish. The material on beauty stresses inner beauty over external appearance.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

  1. I am curious to know if anyone in the target audience was influenced by them. They are certainly creative. One thing that bothers me; how far do we go in kiruv to affiliate with non-observant Jews? I feel that one of the red lines is misrepresenting tznius standards. In at least two of those films, women were shown dressed in the typical sexy styles of the general public. Is this necessary to get the message out?

  2. Neat. The tap dancing one made me cry, for some reason. I’m easily touched. The MLK one could be improved and expanded on and done as a series of great ppl who support/supported Israel.

  3. Awesome filming ….very creative and innovative way of imparting jewish concepts , traditions and prohibitions. The volunteer and the sukkos ones are really funny.
