We regret to inform you of the petira of Alter Chanoch Henoch Leibowitz ZT”L of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yisrael Meir HaKohen, also known as Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim: Rabbinical Seminary of America (RSA), and often referred to as just Chofetz Chaim.
The levaya will take place Wednesday at 1:30 PM at the Yeshiva in Kew Gardens Hills.

Boruch dayan emes. Not sure if its the same school but
one of my old ex boyfriends went to the queens chofetz chaim at one point. I think some core principals of traditional Judaism stayed with him cuz of that experience.Like he always put on tefillin. I never understood why and often argued for the nothing side of all or nothing until I understood. I then always equated the queens chofetz chaim with that powerful sense of instilling tradition in that way.
I have six brothers- all of whom have attended Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim. The impact this great tzadik Rav Alter Chanoch Henoch Leibowitz zt”l had on MY life is enormous. I owe him a debt of Hakaras Hatov.
In various places and settings, we’ve known rabbis who were talmidim of HaRav Leibowitz ZT”L. All have been exceptional people well grounded in Torah, a testimony to his influence.
